James River Equestrian is a very special place.  It is like an extended family, however, some simple rules must be observed.  Please see the JREC rules, below and also posted in the barn.

1.     If you have anyone else ride your horse, you must have a release form signed by the parent. This is extremely important. Release forms can be found in the second drawer of my filing cabinet.

2.     Remember that your horse only has so many jumps in him.  Please limit your jumping outside a lesson to an X or small and few jumps.  Save their legs for the lesson and the show ring.

3.     Boarders are responsible for their horses vet needs. Any drugs used must be individually purchased by the vet (bute, ace ,SMZX’s, etc.)  If you use mine, I will get you your own supply the next time the vet comes and replenish my supply.

4.     Boarders are also responsible for the first aid needs of their horses. Everyone needs to keep a supply of the following: vet wrap, rolled cotton, 3x3 non stick pads, betadine, antibiotic ointment, bute, scissors, duct tape.

5.     Lay up fees (when your horse needs stall confinement) is an extra $5.00 per day or $100.00 per month.  Field boarders also must pay the difference in stall and field board.

6.     Barn hours are 6am to 9pm

7.     PLEASE keep your stall area clean and neat.  Please clean your tack trunk off on a regular basis.

8.     Board checks are due on the first of the month and will be considered late after the 10th of the month.  All late check will incur a $25.00 late fee.

9.    NO ONE UNDER 18 YRS.OLD IS ALLOWED TO BE AT THE BARN AT ANY TIME ALONE!!!!!!!
